Freelancers Union announced the discontinuation of their Health Partners program. This program was designed to help members of the Freelancers Union find affordable psychotherapy in New York City.
For Freelancers members who also had health insurance through the Freelancers Insurance Company, Health Partners was a helpful added benefit in that deductibles for mental health were extraordinarily high in certain plans.
For other Freelancers members without health insurance, the program provided an affordable way to access psychotherapy.
TherapySafetyNet stands ready to step in to fill the gap left behind by the discontinuation of this program. Eligible uninsured New Yorkers in search of affordable psychotherapy are welcome to apply for sliding scale therapy via our secure on-line application, found here.
Any insight on why this program was cancelled?
